BENEFITS:

HOW IT WORKS:

• Ceftriaxone works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell death.

• The combination ensures a broader spectrum of antibacterial activity and prevents the breakdown of ceftriaxone by resistant bacteria.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Administered by a healthcare professional, either intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM) as prescribed.
• Dosage and duration depend on the type and severity of the infection.
• Follow the prescribed dosage and schedule strictly. 

SIDE EFFECTS:

• Common: Pain at the injection site, rash, diarrhea, nausea, headache, dizziness.
• Serious: Severe allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness), difficulty breathing, severe diarrhea (Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea), unusual bleeding/bruising, yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), kidney problems (such as a change in the amount of urine).

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any severe side effects. 

WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS:

• Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ceftriaxone, sulbactam, or any other cephalosporin antibiotics. Neonates with hyperbilirubinemia or those who require calcium-containing IV solutions.
• Consultation: Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. Discuss your medical history, especially if you have a history of liver disease, kidney disease, or gastrointestinal disease (such as colitis).
• Interactions: May interact with other antibiotics, anticoagulants, and calcium-containing IV solutions. Consult your healthcare provider about potential drug interactions.
• Storage: Store vials at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Use reconstituted solutions immediately or store them as directed by a healthcare professional.
