BENEFITS:

HOW IT WORKS:

• Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
• It works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which is involved in the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are chemicals in the body that cause inflammation and pain.
• By reducing the production of these chemicals, meloxicam decreases inflammation and pain.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Take one tablet orally with a glass of water, as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
• It is typically taken once daily, with or without food.
• Follow the prescribed dosage and duration as directed by your healthcare provider. 

SIDE EFFECTS:

• Common: Nausea, vomiting, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, dizziness, headache.
• Serious: Severe allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness), unusual bleeding or bruising, signs of kidney problems (change in the amount of urine), severe stomach/abdominal pain, black/tarry stools, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest pain, shortness of breath.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any severe side effects. 

WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS:

• Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to meloxicam or any component of the formulation. History of asthma, urticaria, or other allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs. Active gastrointestinal bleeding or peptic ulcer disease. Severe renal or hepatic impairment.
• Consultation: Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. Discuss your medical history, especially if you have a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney disease, liver disease, or gastrointestinal issues.
• Interactions: Meloxicam may interact with other medications such as anticoagulants, other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, ACE inhibitors, diuretics, and certain antidepressants. Consult your healthcare provider about potential drug interactions.
• Storage: Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date.
• Dosage Adherence: Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not exceed or skip doses. Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve. Regularly follow up with your healthcare provider to monitor your condition and any potential side effects.
