HOW IT WORKS:

• Levofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic
• It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for DNA replication, transcription, and repair, ultimately killing the bacteria

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Take one tablet orally with a full glass of water
• Can be taken with or without food
• Follow the prescribed dosage and duration by your healthcare provider
• Do not skip doses or stop taking the medication prematurely, even if you feel better 

SIDE EFFECTS:

• Common: Nausea, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, insomnia
• Serious: Tendon rupture, severe dizziness, fainting, irregular heartbeat, allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling).

WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS:

• Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, other quinolones, or any formulation component. History of tendon disorders related to quinolone use.
• Consultation: Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. Discuss your medical history, especially if you have kidney disease, epilepsy, or heart conditions.
• Interactions: Levofloxacin may interact with antacids containing magnesium or aluminum, sucralfate, metal cations (such as iron), multivitamin/mineral supplements containing zinc, and other drugs. Consult your healthcare provider about potential drug interactions.
• Storage: Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date.
• Dosage Adherence: Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not exceed or skip doses. Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve.
