HOW IT WORKS:

• Sildenafil citrate is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor that works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing increased blood flow when sexually aroused.
• This action helps achieve and sustain an erection during sexual activity, but it only works in the presence of sexual stimulation.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Take one VEGAFIL*-100 tablet about 30-60 minutes before planned sexual activity.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• The maximum recommended dose is one tablet per day.
• Avoid taking the tablet with a high-fat meal, as this can delay its effectiveness. 

SIDE EFFECTS:

• Common: Headache, flushing, nasal congestion, indigestion, dizziness, and visual disturbances such as changes in color vision or blurred vision.
• Serious: Severe allergic reactions (e.g., rash, itching, swelling, difficulty breathing), prolonged or painful erections (priapism), sudden vision loss, and hearing loss.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any severe side effects. 

WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS:

• Contraindications: Do not use VEGAFIL*-100 if you are taking nitrates or nitric oxide donors (e.g., nitroglycerin) for chest pain, as this may cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. It is also contraindicated in individuals with severe cardiovascular conditions, severe liver or kidney impairment, or a history of certain types of retinal disorders.
• Consultation: Consult your healthcare provider before using this medication if you have any pre-existing medical conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, liver or kidney issues, or if you are taking other medications that may interact with sildenafil. Your doctor will determine if this medication suits you based on your health condition and history.
• Interactions: Be aware of potential interactions with other medications, especially those used to treat hypertension, fungal infections, HIV/AIDS, or other PDE5 inhibitors. Inform your doctor about all medications you are currently taking to avoid adverse effects.
