BENEFITS:

• Clarithromycin is an antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including respiratory infections (such as pneumonia and bronchitis), skin infections, and infections of the ear, throat, and sinuses.
• It is also effective in treating certain types of stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection, in combination with other medications. 

HOW IT WORKS:

Clarithromycin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit of the bacterial ribosome, preventing the bacteria from producing essential proteins needed for their growth and replication. This action helps to kill the bacteria and reduce the infection.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Take CLARTREE tablets orally, usually once or twice daily, with or without food, as directed by your doctor.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water; do not crush or chew.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions on dosage and duration of treatment to ensure the effectiveness of the medication and to avoid resistance. 

SIDE EFFECTS:

• Common: Nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and taste disturbances.
• Serious: Severe allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling), liver problems (yellowing of the skin or eyes), severe diarrhea (which may indicate a Clostridium difficile infection), and heart rhythm disturbances.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any severe side effects. 

WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS:

• Contraindications: CLARTREE should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to clarithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics. It is contraindicated in individuals with a history of liver disease, particularly hepatic impairment, and those taking certain medications that can interact adversely with clarithromycin.
• Consultation: Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. Provide your full medical history, especially if you have liver or kidney disease, heart problems, or a history of allergic reactions to antibiotics.
• Interactions: Clarithromycin may interact with other medications, including certain blood thinners, statins, and drugs used to treat heart conditions. Consult your healthcare provider about potential drug interactions to avoid adverse effects and ensure the safe use of clarithromycin.
• Storage: Store CLARTREE tablets at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and do not use the medication past its expiration date.

Do not skip doses or stop the medication early without consulting your doctor to ensure the infection is fully eradicated and to prevent resistance.
