Montree-LC is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, and sneezing. It is also used to relieve itching and hives. DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

  • Take the tablet as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily in the evening.
  • Can be taken with or without food.
  • Swallow the tablet whole with water without crushing or chewing.
  • Follow the dosage instructions carefully and do not adjust the dose without consulting your doctor. 

SIDE EFFECTS:

  • Common: Drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, fatigue, and stomach pain.
  • Serious: Severe allergic reactions, mood changes, difficulty breathing, and signs of liver problems like jaundice or dark urine.

WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS:

  • Contraindications: Do not use if you are allergic to montelukast, levocetirizine, or any other ingredients in the tablet. Avoid if you have severe kidney impairment or galactose intolerance.
  • Consultation: Inform your doctor if you have a history of mental/mood disorders, liver disease, or kidney problems. Discuss all medications, supplements, and herbal products you are currently taking.
  • Interactions: Be cautious of interactions with other antihistamines, sedatives, alcohol, and medications that can affect the central nervous system. Some medications, like erythromycin or ketoconazole, may affect how montelukast works.
  • Storage: Store at room temperature, away from moisture, heat, and direct light. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use and out of reach of children.
  • Dosage Adherence: Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage. Do not exceed the recommended dose. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered, but skip it if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose.
