Paroxi CR-12.5

BENEFITS:

Effective in treating major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and PTSD, with a sustained release formulation for prolonged therapeutic effects. 

HOW IT WORKS:

Functions as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), increasing serotonin levels in the brain to help improve mood, alleviate anxiety, and reduce depressive symptoms gradually.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Take once daily, preferably in the morning, as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it.
• Can be taken with or without food. 

SIDE EFFECTS:

• Common: Nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, sweating, and constipation.
• Serious: Severe mood changes, suicidal thoughts, seizures, irregular heartbeat, severe allergic reactions.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any severe side effects. 

WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS:

• Contraindications: Do not use if allergic to paroxetine, if taking MAO inhibitors, or if you have severe liver or kidney impairment. Avoid use during pregnancy unless directed by a doctor.
• Consultation: Inform your doctor if you have a history of bipolar disorder, epilepsy, or glaucoma, or if you are taking other medications, especially those affecting serotonin levels.
• Interactions: Be cautious of interactions with other SSRIs, SNRIs, MAO inhibitors, antiplatelet drugs, NSAIDs, and other medications affecting serotonin. Provide a complete list of your medications to your doctor.
• Storage: Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
• Dosage Adherence: Follow the prescribed dosage and schedule. Do not increase the dose or frequency without consulting your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember, but skip it if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose.
